As mentioned above, when you enable Microsoft Defender SmartScreen with enhanced protection, Windows will warn users if they reuse their Microsoft account password on sites and apps and prompt them to change their password. Below is how to turn on or off password warnings with Enhanced Phishing Protection in Windows 11. In the search box on the taskbar, type Windows Security and then select Windows Security in the list of results. In Windows Security, select App & browser control tile as highlighted in the image below. On the App & browser control settings page, under Reputation-based protection, click on the Reputation-based protection settings link as highlighted below. On the Reputation-based protection settings page, under Phishing protection, toggle the button to On or Off to enable or disable Phishing protection with Microsoft Defender. When you enable Phishing protection, you can also choose to selectively enable malicious apps and sites, password reuse, and unsafe password storage warnings.
